རང་ཉིད་ངན་སོང་གི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ལས་ཐར་ནས་མངོན་མཐོའི་བདེ་བ་ཙམ་བསྒྲུབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་དུ་བརྩོན་བཞིན་པའི་གང་ཟག་དེ་སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆུང་ངུ་ཡིན།
Entity: A person striving to accomplish just the happiness of higher rebirths through liberating oneself from the sufferings of the lower realms.

མངོན་མཐོའི་བདེ་བ་ཙམ་སྒྲུབ་པར་བྱེད་པའི་བསམ་པ།
Attitude: To accomplish just the happiness of higher rebirths.

བསམ་པ་དེ་སྐྱེས་པའི་ཚད་ཡོད་དེ། རང་ཉིད་ངན་སོང་གི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་དང་འབྲལ་བར་འདོད་པའི་བསམ་པ་ལ་མྱོང་བ་ཐོན་པ་ན་བློ་དེ་སྐྱེས་པར་འཇོག་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Measure of giving rise to that attitude: When an experience is elicited regarding the attitude wishing to be free from the sufferings of the lower realms.

བསམ་པ་དེ་སྐྱེས་པའི་ཐབས་ཡོད་དེ། ངན་སོང་གི་ཉེས་དམིགས་རིག་པ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་བློ་དེ་སྐྱེ་བའི་ཕྱིར།
Method for giving rise to that attitude: Arises in dependence upon knowing the faults and disadvantages of the lower realms.
