Subjective aspects of a knower of bases

གཞི་ཤེས་ཀྱི་བསྒོམ་བྱའི་རྣམ་པར་གྱུར་པའི་འཕགས་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་མཁྱེན་པ་གང་ཞིག ཐེག་དམན་གྱི་རྟོགས་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པ། གཞི་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ཤེས་རྣམ་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: That which is:

1. An exalted knower in the continuum of an Arya that is an aspect to be cultivated by a knower of bases; and
2. Abiding in the Hinayana class of realisations.

Divisions: (27)

• Four aspects of true sufferings: realising impermanence, suffering, empty, and selfless.
  སྡུག་བདེན་གྱི་རྣམ་པ་མི་རྟག་སྡུག་བསྔལ་སྟོང་བདག་མེད་བཞི་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ་བཞི།
• Four aspects of true origins: realising cause, origin, thorough arising, and condition.
  ཀུན་འབྱུང་བདེན་པའི་རྣམ་པ་རྒྱུ་ཀུན་འབྱུང་རབ་སྐྱེ་རྐྱེན་བཞི་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ་བཞི།
• Four aspects of true cessations: realising cessation, pacification, pristine, and definite emergence.
  འགོག་བདེན་གྱི་རྣམ་པ། འགོག་པ། ཞི་བ། གྱ་ནོམ་པ། ངེས་པར་འབྱུང་བ་བཞི་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ་བཞི།
• Fifteen aspects of true paths:
  1. Uncontaminated path of seeing that abides in the class of antidotes to the afflictive obscurations
     ཉོན་སྒྲིབ་ཀྱི་གཉེན་པོའི་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པའི་ཟག་མེད་མཐོང་ལམ་གཅིག
     Four aspects of true paths: realising path, suitability, accomplishment, and deliverance.
     ལམ་བདེན་གྱི་རྣམ་པའི་ལམ་རིགས་པ་སྒྲུབ་པ་ངེས་འབྱིན་བཞི་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ་བཞི།
     Related to: agent (བྱེད་པ་པོ།), knower (ཤེས་པ་པོ།), transferer (འཕོ་བ་པོ།), tamer (འདུལ་བ་པོ།)
  2. Contaminated path of meditation that abides in the class of antidotes to the conception of forms as external གཟུགས་ཕྱི་རོལ་དོན་དུ་འཛིན་པའི་རྟོག་པའི་གཉེན་པོའི་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པའི་སྒོམ་ལམ་ཟག་བཅས་གཅིག
     1. Dream-like (རྨི་ལམ་ལྟ་བུ་དང༌།) - Aspect realising apprehendeds as lacking true entitiness
        གཟུང་བ་བདེན་པའི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་མེད་པར་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ།
     2. Echo-like (སྒྲ་བརྙན་ལྟ་བུ་དང༌།) - Aspect realising apprehendeds as ultimately unproduced
        གཟུང་བ་དོན་དམ་པར་མ་སྐྱེས་པར་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ།
     3. Optical illusion-like (མིག་ཡོར་ལྟ་བུ་དང༌།) - Aspect realising apprehendeds as unceased
        གཟུང་བ་མ་འགགས་པར་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ།
     4. Mirage-like (སྨིག་རྒྱུ་ལྟ་བུ་དང༌།) - Aspect realising apprehendeds as pacified of elaborations from the start གཟུང་བ་གཟོད་མ་ནས་སྤྲོས་པ་ཉེ་བར་ཞི་བར་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ།
     5. Illusion like (སྒྱུ་མ་ལྟ་བུར།) - Aspect realising apprehendeds as naturally passed beyond sorrow, i.e. pure གཟུང་བ་རང་བཞིན་གྱིས་ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་སྟེ་དག་པར་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ།
  3. Uncontaminated path of seeing that abides in the class of antidotes to the conception of forms as external དེའི་གཉེན་པོའི་རིགས་སུ་གནས་པའི་མཐོང་ལམ་ཟག་མེད་གཅིག
     Aspects apprehending external apprehendeds as: ཕྱིའི་གཟུང་བ་་་་ར་རྟོགས་པའི་རྣམ་པ།
     1. Non-existent thoroughly afflicted things to be discarded
        དོར་བྱ་ཀུན་ནས་ཉོན་མོངས་པའི་དངོས་པོ་མེད་པ་དང༌།
     2. Non-existent completely pure things to be adopted
        དེ་བླང་བྱ་རྣམ་པར་བྱང་བའི་དངོས་པོ་མེད་པ་དང༌།
     3. Clear light - their natures being unpolluted
        དེའི་རང་བཞིན་གོས་པ་མེད་པ་འོད་གསལ་བ་དང༌།
     4. Without elaboration of classifications such as forms, sounds, and so forth
        དེ་གཟུགས་སྒྲ་ལ་སོགས་པའི་རབ་ཏུ་དབྱེ་བའི་སྤྲོས་པ་མེད་པ་དང༌།
     5. Non-conceited wrt the realisation of those as ultimately empty
        དེ་དོན་དམ་པར་སྟོང་པར་རྟོགས་པ་ལ་རློམ་པར་བྱར་མེད་པ་ཉིད་དང༌།
     6. Abiding until samsara ends - their emptiness of true existence being immovable
        དེ་བདེན་པས་སྟོང་པའི་སྟོང་ཉིད་མི་གཡོ་བ་སྟེ་སྲིད་པ་ཇི་སྲིད་ཀྱི་བར་དུ་གནས་པ།

སྐབས་འདིར་གཟུགས་ཕྱི་རོལ་དོན་དུ་འཛིན་པའི་རྟོག་པའི་གཉེན་པོ་འཆད་པ་སྐབས་སུ་མ་བབ་པའི་སྐྱོན་མེད་དེ།
གཞི་ཤེས་ཀྱིས་རང་རྒྱལ་འཕགས་པའི་མངོན་རྟོགས་བསྡུས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
There is no fault that this is not the occasion for explaining the antidotes to the conception of forms as external in this context because the Arya Solitary Realisers' clear realisations are included within the knower of bases.

Afflictive and knowledge obscurations

གཞི་ཤེས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་པ་སྒོམ་པར་བྱེད་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱིས་ཟིན་པའི་སེམས་དཔའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར།
སེམས་དཔའི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་གཞི་ཤེས་ཀྱི་དམིགས་པའི་ཆོས་ལ་ལོག་ཕྱོགས་སུ་སྒྲོ་འདོགས་པའི་སྒྲོ་འདོགས་ཀྱི་གཉེན་པོའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of an antidote to superimpositions that superimpose the erroneous class to the objects of observation of a knower of bases in a Bodhisattva's continuum: A Bodhisattva yoga conjoined with the wisdom cultivating the aspects of a knower of bases.
