Where Hearers and Solitary Realisers enter the Mahayana path

Regardless of what they've done before, a path is always entered via its path of accumulation.

ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ལམ་ནས་འཇུག་པ་ཡིན་ཏེ། སངས་རྒྱས་ཐོབ་པ་ལ་ཐེག་ཆེན་གྱི་ཚོགས་སྦྱོར་གྱི་གནས་སྐབས་སུ་བསྐལ་ཆེན་གྲངས་མེད་གཅིག་དང༌། མ་དག་ས་བདུན་དུ་གྲངས་མེད་གཅིག་དང༌། དག་པ་ས་གསུམ་དུ་གྲངས་མེད་གཅིག་སྟེ་གྲངས་མེད་གསུམ་དུ་ཚོགས་གསོག་དགོས་པའི་ཕྱིར།
They enter from the Mahayana path of accumulation because in order to attain Buddhahood they must accumulate the collections over three countless eons:

1. One countless great eon on the occasion of the Mahayana paths of accumulation and preparation;
2. One countless great eon over the seven impure grounds; and
3. One countless great eon over the three pure grounds.
