Past and Future
སྤྱིར་འདས་པ་དང་མ་འོངས་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད་མེད་དེ། འདས་པ་དང་མ་འོངས་པ་མེད་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཏེ། གཞི་གྲུབ་ན། ད་ལྟར་བ་ཡིན་པས་ཁྱབ་པའི་ཕྱིར།
In general, there is no definition for past and future because past and future do not exist; because if it is an established base, it is pervaded by being present.
When posited in relation to a particular basis: གཞི་ལ་ལྟོས་ནས་འཇོག་ན།
- Definition of past at the time of pot: That observed as the common locus of 1) having been produced at the time of pot and 2) having ceased at the time of pot.
བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་སྐྱེས་ཟིན་པ་ཡང་ཡིན། བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་འགགས་ཟིན་པ་ཡང་ཡིན་པའི་གཞི་མཐུན་པ། བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་འདས་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
This and previous moment of pot are mutually inclusive. དེ་དང་བུམ་པའི་སྔ་ལོགས་སུ་བྱུང་བ་དོན་གཅིག - Definition of present at the time of pot: That observed as a common locus of 1) having been produced at the time of pot and 2) being simultaneous with pot.
བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་གྲུབ་ཟིན་པ་ཡང་ཡིན། བུམ་པ་དང་དུས་མཉམ་པ་ཡང་ཡིན་པའི་གཞི་མཐུན་པར་དམིགས་པ། བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་ད་ལྟར་བའི་མཚན་ཉིད། - Definition of future at the time of pot: That observed as a common locus of 1) being produced at the time of pot and 2) not having been produced at the time of pot.
བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་སྐྱེ་བཞིན་པ་ཡང་ཡིན། བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་མ་སྐྱེས་པ་ཡང་ཡིན་པའི་གཞི་མཐུན་པར་དམིགས་པ། བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་མ་འོངས་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
བུམ་པའི་མ་འོངས་པ། བུམ་པའི་རྒྱུ། བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་འདས་པ། བུམ་པ་ལ་ལྟོས་ཏེ་འདས་པ་རྣམས་དོན་གཅིག
Future-pot, cause of pot, past at the time of pot, and past in relation to pot are mutually inclusive.
བུམ་པའི་འདས་པ། བུམ་པའི་འབྲས་བུ། བུམ་པའི་དུས་སུ་མ་འོངས་པ། བུམ་པ་ལ་ལྟོས་ཏེ་མ་འོངས་པ་རྣམས་དོན་གཅིག
Past-pot, result of pot, future at the time of pot, and future in relation to pot are mutually inclusive.
In general: སྤྱིར་
- Ceasing, disintegrating, about to be produced, being produced, and approaching production do not exist.
འགགས་པ། ཞིག་པ། སྐྱེ་ཁ་མ། སྐྱེ་བཞིན་པ། སྐྱེ་བ་ལ་མངོན་དུ་ཕྱོགས་པ་རྣམས་མེད། - The passing of smoke, the ceasing of smoke, the not coming (future) of smoke, the almost production of smoke, the producing of smoke, and the approaching of producing smoke exist.
དུ་བ་འདས་པ། དུ་བ་འགགས་པ། དུ་བ་མ་འོངས་པ། དུ་བ་སྐྱེ་ཁ་མ། དུ་བ་སྐྱེ་བཞིན་པ། དུ་བ་སྐྱེ་བ་ལ་མངོན་དུ་ཕྱོགས་པ་རྣམས་ཡོད། - Smoke that is approaching production, smoke that is being produced, smoke that is about to be produced, smoke that has ceased, smoke that has disintegrated, past-smoke, and future-smoke do not exist.
སྐྱེ་བ་ལ་མངོན་དུ་ཕྱོགས་པའི་དུ་བ། སྐྱེ་བཞིན་པའི་དུ་བ། སྐྱེ་ཁ་མའི་དུ་བ། འགགས་པའི་དུ་བ། ཞིག་པའི་དུ་བ། འདས་པའི་དུ་བ། མ་འོངས་པའི་དུ་བ་མེད། - Functioning thing, impermanent, momentary, disintegrating, ceasing, approaching the past, and approaching disintegration are mutually inclusive.
དངོས་པོ། མི་རྟག་པ། སྐད་ཅིག་མ། འཇིག་བཞིན་པ། འགགས་བཞིན་པ། འདས་པ་ལ་མངོན་དུ་ཕྱོགས་པ། ཞིག་པ་ལ་མངོན་དུ་ཕྱོགས་པ་རྣམས་དོན་གཅིག
དམ་བཅའ་འདི་དག་ནི། རིགས་པའི་རྗེས་འབྲང་གི་མདོ་སྡེ་པའི་དབང་དུ་བྱས་སོ།

- Vaibhashikas assert past-actions, future-actions, and so forth;
བྱེ་བྲག་སྨྲ་བས། འདས་པའི་ལས་དང་། མ་འོངས་པའི་ལས་སོགས་ཁས་ལེན་ཅིང་། - Prasangikas have inconceivable assertions, such as asserting disintegration as a functioning thing.
ཐལ་འགྱུར་བས། ཞིག་པ་དངོས་པོར་བཞེད་པ་སོགས་བཞེད་ཚུལ་བསམ་གྱིས་མི་ཁྱབ་པ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
