རྟོག་པས་བཏགས་པ་ཙམ་མ་ཡིན་པར་ཡུལ་རང་གི་སྡོད་ལུགས་ཀྱི་ངོས་ནས་གྲུབ་པ། རང་མཚན་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of specifically characterised: That established from the side of the object’s mode of abiding without being merely designated by conceptuality.

རྟོག་པས་བཏགས་ཙམ་དུ་གྲུབ་པའི་ཆོས། སྤྱི་མཚན་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of generally characterised: A phenomenon that is merely designated by conceptuality.

For specifically characterised phenomena: unmixed place, time, and nature ཡུལ་དུས་རང་བཞིན་མ་འདྲེས་པ།

ཡུལ་འདྲེས་པར་འཛིན་པའི་བློ་དེས་བུམ་པ་ལྟ་བུའི་རང་གི་ཤར་ནུབ་ཀྱི་རྫས་ལ་དུས་གཅིག་ཏུ་རེག་པ་ན། ཤར་ན་རེག་པ་དེས་ནུབ་ན་ཡང་རེག་པར་འཛིན་པས།
བུམ་པའི་ཤར་ལ་རེག་པའི་ཆ་དེས། ནུབ་ལ་རེག་པ་མ་ཡིན་པ་ཡུལ་མ་འདྲེས་པའི་དོན་ནོ།
When an awareness that apprehends places as mixed contacts a substance (a pot, for example) on its eastern and western [sides] simultaneously, then that which is contacted in the east is apprehended as also being contacted in the west. Therefore, the meaning of unmixed places is that the factor of contacting the eastern [side] of the pot is not contacting the western [side].

དེ་བཞིན་དུ་ངོ་བོ་འདྲེས་པར་འཛིན་པའི་བློ་དེས་བ་གླང་ཁྲ་བོའི་ངོ་བོ་དེ་ཉིད་སེར་སྐྱའི་ངོ་བོ་ཡིན་པར་བཟུང་བས་བ་གླང་ཁྲ་བོའི་ངོ་བོ་སེར་སྐྱ་ལ་མེད་པ།
བ་གླང་ཁྲ་བོ་དང་སེར་སྐྱ་གཉིས་ངོ་བོ་མ་འདྲེས་པའི་དོན་ནོ།
Similarly, an awareness that apprehends entities as mixed apprehends that the entity of a multicoloured ox is the entity of a pale-yellow [ox]. Therefore, the non-existence of the entity of a multicoloured ox in a pale-yellow [ox] is the meaning of the unmixed entity of the two, a multicoloured and a pale-yellow ox.

དུས་འདྲེས་པར་འཛིན་པའི་བློས། སྔ་དྲོའི་དུས་ཀྱི་དངོས་པོ་དང་། ཕྱི་དྲོའི་དུས་ཀྱི་དངོས་པོ་གཅིག་ཏུ་བཟུང་གི་སྔ་དྲོའི་དུས་ན་ཡོད་ན།
ཕྱི་དྲོའི་དུས་ན་ཡོད་པས་ཁྱབ་པར་བཟུང་བ་མ་ཡིན་པས། སྔ་དྲོའི་དུས་ཀྱི་དངོས་པོ། ཕྱི་དྲོའི་དུས་ན་མེད་པ། དངོས་པོ་རྣམས་དུས་མ་འདྲེས་པའི་དོན་ནོ།
An awareness that apprehends times as mixed apprehends the thing in the morning and the thing in the evening as one; whereas, due to not apprehending that if it exists in the morning, then it is pervaded by existing in the evening, the meaning of things being of unmixed time is that the thing in the morning is non-existent in the evening.

བུམ་པ་དེ་རང་མཚན་ཡིན་གྱི། སྤྱི་མཚན་མིན་ཡང་། དེ་ཡུལ་དུས་ཐུན་མོང་དུ་རྗེས་འགྲོ་བྱེད་པ་ཡིན་ཏེ།
བུམ་པ་དེ་བུམ་པའི་ཤར་ནུབ་ཀྱི་ཕྱོགས་གཉིས་ཀ་ལའང་ཁྱབ། བུམ་པ་དེ་སྔ་དྲོའི་དུས་དང་ཕྱི་དྲོའི་དུས་གཉིས་ཀར་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Although a pot is a specifically characterised [phenomenon] and not a generally characterised [phenomenon], it is that with a common concomitance of place and time because pot pervades both the eastern and western sides of a pot and pot exists both in the morning and evening.
