Correct assumptions
རང་ཡུལ་ལ་ཞེན་པས་སླུ་བའི་ཞེན་རིག་དོན་མཐུན། ཡིད་དཔྱོད་ཀྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: A factually concordant determinative knower that is controvertible due to its determination of its object.
Divisions:
- Lacking a reason རྒྱུ་མཚན་མེད་པའི་ཡིད་དཔྱོད།
e.g. Awareness apprehending sound as impermanent in dependence upon just the words "sound is impermanent." (expresses the Probandum, but not the reason)
སྒྲ་མི་རྟག་ཅེས་པའི་ངག་ཙམ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་སྒྲ་མི་རྟག་པར་འཛིན་པའི་བློ། - Contradictory reason རྒྱུ་མཚན་དང་འགལ་བའི་ཡིད་དཔྱོད།
e.g. Awareness apprehending sound as impermanent through the sign of being empty of the ability to perform a function
དོན་བྱེད་ནུས་སྟོང་གི་རྟགས་ལས་སྒྲ་མི་རྟག་པར་འཛིན་པའི་བློ། - Indefinite reason རྒྱུ་མཚན་མ་ངེས་པའི་ཡིད་དཔྱོད།
e.g. Awareness apprehending sound as impermanent through the sign of being a cognised-object (indefinite sign in the proof of that, i.e. no pervasion)
གཞལ་བྱའི་རྟགས་ལས་སྒྲ་མི་རྟག་པར་འཛིན་པའི་བློ། - Non-established reason རྒྱུ་མཚན་མ་གྲུབ་པའི་ཡིད་དཔྱོད།
e.g. Awareness apprehending sound as impermanent through the sign of being that apprehended by an eye consciousness (non-established sign in the proof of that, i.e. reason not established)
མིག་ཤེས་ཀྱི་གཟུང་བྱའི་རྟགས་ལས་སྒྲ་མི་རྟག་པར་འཛིན་པའི་བློ། - Having a reason but not having understood it རྒྱུ་མཚན་ཡོད་ཀྱང་གཏན་ལ་མ་ཕེབས་པའི་ཡིད་དཔྱོད།
e.g. Awareness apprehending sound as impermanent through the sign of being a product, without ascertaining by valid cognition that sound is a product and that products are pervaded by being impermanent (Correct sign, but not a correct opponent)
སྒྲ་བྱས་པ་དང་། བྱས་ན་མི་རྟག་པས་ཁྱབ་པ་ཚད་མས་མ་ངེས་པར་བྱས་རྟགས་ལས་སྒྲ་མི་རྟག་པར་འཛིན་པའི་བློ།
