Doubt

རང་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས་མཐའ་གཉིས་སུ་དོགས་པའི་རིག་པ། ཐེ་ཚོམ་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: A knower that two-pointedly wavers through its own power.

ཐེ་ཚོམ་དང་མཚུངས་ལྡན་གྱི་སེམས་དང་། དེའི་འཁོར་དུ་གྱུར་བའི་ཚོར་བ་སོགས་ནི།
ཐེ་ཚོམ་གྱི་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས་དོགས་ཀྱི། རང་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས་མཐའ་གཉིས་སུ་དོགས་པ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།
The main mind concomitant with doubt and the feeling mental factor in its retinue and so forth waver through the power of doubt, they do not two-pointedly waver through their own power.

Divisions:

1. Doubt leaning towards the factual དོན་འགྱུར་གྱི་ཐེ་ཚོམ།
   e.g. Doubt thinking sound is [probably] impermanent སྒྲ་མི་རྟག་གམ་སྙམ་པའི་ཐེ་ཚོམ།
2. Doubt leaning towards the non-factual དོན་མི་འགྱུར་གྱི་ཐེ་ཚོམ།
   e.g. Doubt thinking sound is [probably] permanent སྒྲ་རྟག་གམ་སྙམ་པའི་ཐེ་ཚོམ།
3. Even doubt ཆ་སྙོམས་པའི་ཐེ་ཚོམ།
   e.g. Doubt wandering "Is sound permanent or impermanent?" སྒྲ་རྟག་གམ་མི་རྟག་གམ་སྙམ་པའི་ཐེ་ཚོམ།

ལོག་ཤེས་དང་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མི་འགལ་བར་ཐལ། ལོག་རྟོག་དང་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མི་འགལ་བའི་ཕྱིར།
སྒྲ་ཕལ་ཆེར་རྟག་ལས་ཆེ་སྙམ་པའི་ཐེ་ཚོམ་དེ། ལོག་རྟོག་དང་ཐེ་ཚོམ་གཉིས་ཀ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
Wrong consciousness and doubt are not mutually exclusive because wrong conception and doubt are not mutually exclusive; because doubt thinking sound is most probably permanent is both a wrong conception and doubt.
