Inferential valid cognisers

རང་གི་རྟེན་རྟགས་ཡང་དག་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་དངོས་སུ་སྐྱེས་པའི་གསར་དུ་མི་སླུ་བའི་གཞན་རིག་དེ། རྗེས་སུ་དཔག་པའི་ཚད་མའི་མཚན་ཉིད།
དེ་དང་རྗེས་དཔག་གཉིས་དོན་གཅིག
Definition: A newly non-deceptive other-knower that is directly produced in dependence upon its supporting correct sign.
This and inferential cogniser are mutually inclusive.

Divisions:

Factual inference དངོས་སྟོབས་ཀྱི་རྗེས་དཔག
e.g. Sound is impermanent because of being a product.
Inference of renown གྲགས་པའི་རྗེས་དཔག
e.g. Calling the moon "rabbit-possessor" རྟོག་ཡུལ་ན་ཡོད་པའི་རྟགས་ལས་རི་བོང་ཅན་ལ་ཟླ་སྒྲས་བརྗོད་རུང་དུ་རྟོགས་པའི་རྗེས་དཔག
Inference of belief ཡིད་ཆེས་ཀྱི་རྗེས་དཔག
e.g. Realising the scripture saying "From generosity, wealth; from ethics, happiness." is non-deceptive with respect to its indicated-meaning because of being a scriptures purified by the three analyses. དཔྱད་གསུམ་གྱིས་དག་པའི་ལུང་གིས་རྟགས་ལས། སྦྱིན་པས་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ཁྲིམས་ཀྱིས་བདེ། ཞེས་སོགས་ཀྱི་ལུང་རང་གི་བསྟན་དོན་མི་སླུ་བར་རྟོགས་པའི་རྗེས་དཔག

གྲགས་པའི་རྗེས་དཔག་ལ་དངོས་སྟོབས་རྗེས་དཔག་གིས་ཁྱབ། སྒྲ་མི་རྟག་རྟོགས་ཀྱི་རྗེས་དཔག་སྐད་ཅིག་གཉིས་པ་སོགས་དཔྱད་ཤེས་ཡིན།
Inference of renown is pervaded by being factual inference.
The second moment onwards of an inferential cogniser realising sound as impermanent is a subsequent cogniser.

Terminological Division:

Inference for oneself རང་དོན་རྗེས་དཔག
Inference for other གཞན་དོན་རྗེས་དཔག

The first is mutually inclusive with inferential cogniser.
The second is mutually inclusive with correct sign of establishment.

Four types of Analytical Reasonings དཔྱོད་པའི་རིགས་པ་བཞི།

Reasons of nature ཆོས་ཉིད་ཀྱི་རིགས་པ།
e.g. fire being hot, peas being round
Reasons of dependence ལྟོས་པའི་རིགས་པ།
e.g. results depending on their causes
Reasons of function བྱ་བ་བྱེད་པའི་རིགས་པ།
e.g. each cause and conditions having different functions in bringing about the result
e.g. for seed: earth holding (འཛིན་པ།), water collecting (སྡུད་པ།), wind increase (རྒྱས་པ།), fire ripening (སྨིན་པ།)
Logical reasoning འཐད་པའི་རིགས་པ།
e.g. the subject - leaves on the tree - they are impermanent because of arising occasionally.
