Mental direct perceivers

རང་གི་ཐུན་མོང་མ་ཡིན་པའི་བདག་རྐྱེན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་ཡིད་དབང་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་སྐྱེས་པ་གང་ཞིག རྟོག་པ་དང་བྲལ་ཞིང་མ་འཁྲུལ་བའི་གཞན་རིག་གི་ཤེས་པ་དེ།
ཡིད་མངོན་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: A consciousness that is an other-knower that is 1) unmistaken and free from conceptuality and 2) produced in dependence upon the mental sense-power that is its uncommon empowering condition.

Divisions:

Valid cognisers ཡིད་མངོན་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་ཚད་མ།
e.g. First moment of a clairvoyance knowing other's mind. གཞན་སེམས་ཤེས་པའི་མངོན་ཤེས་སྐད་ཅིག་དང་པོ།
Subsequent cognisers དཔྱད་ཤེས།
e.g. Second moment of a clairvoyance knowing other's mind. གཞན་སེམས་ཤེས་པའི་མངོན་ཤེས་སྐད་ཅིག་གཉིས་པ།
Appearance without ascertainment སྣང་ལ་མ་ངེས་པའི་བློ།
e.g. Mental direct perceiver apprehending sound in the continuum of a person whose mind is very attracted to a beautiful form. ཡིད་གཟུགས་མཛེས་པར་ལྷག་པར་ཆགས་བཞིན་པའི་སྐྱེས་བུའི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་སྒྲ་འཛིན་ཡིད་མངོན།
