Self-knowing direct perceivers

འཛིན་རྣམ། རང་རིག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of self-knower: That which has the aspect of an apprehender.

རྟོག་པ་དང་བྲལ་ཞིང་མ་འཁྲུལ་བའི་འཛིན་རྣམ། རང་རིག་མངོན་སུམ་གྱི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition of self-knowing direct perceiver: That which has the aspect of an apprehender, is unmistaken and free from conceptuality.

Divisions:

1. Valid cognisers རང་རིག་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་གྱུར་པའི་ཚད་མ།
   e.g. First moment of a self-knowing direct perceiver experiencing an eye consciousness.
   མིག་ཤེས་ཉམས་སུ་མྱོང་བའི་རང་རིག་མངོན་སུམ་སྐད་ཅིག་དང་པོ།
2. Subsequent cognisers དཔྱད་ཤེས།
   e.g. Second moment of a self-knowing direct perceiver experiencing an eye consciousness.
   མིག་ཤེས་ཉམས་སུ་མྱོང་བའི་རང་རིག་མངོན་སུམ་སྐད་ཅིག་གཉིས་པ།
3. Appearance without ascertainment སྣང་ལ་མ་ངེས་པའི་བློ། e.g.:
   1. Self-knowing direct perceiver experiencing happiness being a consciousness in the continua of Samkhyas or Vaisheshikas.
      གྲངས་ཅན་པའམ་བྱེ་བྲག་པའི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་བདེ་བ་ཤེས་པ་ཡིན་པ་ཉམས་སུ་མྱོང་བའི་རང་རིག་མངོན་སུམ།
   2. Self-knower experiencing inferential cognisers being valid cognisers in the continua of Nihilists.
      རྒྱང་འཕེན་པའི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་རྗེས་དཔག་ཚད་མ་ཡིན་པ་ཉམས་སུ་མྱོང་བའི་རང་རིག
