Six root afflictions

Attachment འདོད་ཆགས།
Anger ཁོང་ཁྲོ།
Pride ང་རྒྱལ།
Ignorance མ་རིག་པ།
Afflicted doubt ཐེ་ཚོམ་ཉོན་མོངས་ཅན།
Afflicted view ལྟ་བ་ཉོན་མོངས་ཅན།

ཉེ་ཉོན་རྣམས་དང་སྲིད་པའི་རྩ་བ་ཅི་རིགས་བྱེད་པས་ན་རྩ་ཉོན་ཞེས་བརྗོད།
They are called "root afflictions" due to acting as the root of samsara and the secondary afflictions.

Attachment and ignorance are not necessarily root affliction. For example, those in the continuum of an arya bodhisattva because they are of little power, like poison that has been treated with medicine.
