འབྲས་བུའི་ཚུལ་གསུམ་ཡིན་པ། འབྲས་རྟགས་ཡང་དག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།

ཁྱོད་དེ་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་རྟགས་ཡང་དག་གང་ཞིག ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྟགས་ཀྱིས་དེ་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་དངོས་ཀྱི་བསྒྲུབ་བྱའི་ཆོས་སུ་བཟུང་བྱའི་གཙོ་བོ་ཡང་ཡིན།
ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྒྱུ་ཡང་ཡིན་པའི་གཞི་མཐུན་སྲིད་པ་དེ། ཁྱོད་དེ་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་འབྲས་རྟགས་ཡང་དག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Understood definition of x being the correct effect sign in the proof of that:
- x is the correct sign in the proof of that;
- there is a possible common locus between:
- being that which is mainly held as the explicit property of the probandum in the proof of that using the sign "x"; and
- being the cause of x.
Divisions:
- Correct effect sign proving a direct cause རྒྱུ་དངོས་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་འབྲས་རྟགས་ཡང་དག
e.g. Taking the subject - on the smoky mountain pass - fire exists because smoke exists. - Correct effect sign proving a preceding cause རྒྱུ་སྔོན་སོང་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་འབྲས་རྟགས་ཡང་དག
e.g. Taking the subject - the bluish smoke in space - it is preceded by the previous fire that is its cause because it is smoke. - Correct effect sign proving a general cause རྒྱུ་སྤྱི་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་འབྲས་རྟགས་ཡང་དག
e.g. Taking the subject - the appropriated aggregates - they possess their own cause because of being a functioning thing that is occasionally produced. - Correct effect sign proving a specific cause རྒྱུ་ཁྱད་པར་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་འབྲས་རྟགས་ཡང་དག
e.g. Taking the subject - sense consciousness to which blue appears - it possesses its observed-object condition because of being a functioning thing that is not produced without its observed-object condition. - Correct effect sign of extrapolating a causal property རྒྱུ་ཆོས་རྗེས་དཔོག་གི་འབྲས་རྟགས་ཡང་དག
e.g. Taking the subject - on the basis of a lump of molasses in the mouth - the potency for prior molasses to generate later molasses exists because the present molasses exist.
