Five modes of statement of a consequence

1. Individual sign, predicate and subject རྟགས་ཆོས་དོན་གསུམ་རེ་རེ་བའི་འགོད་ཚུལ།
   Illustration: The subject - pot - it follows that it is impermanent because of being momentary.
   བུམ་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། མི་རྟག་པ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། སྐད་ཅིག་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
   
   
2. Stacking many subjects ཆོས་ཅན་དུ་མ་བརྩེགས་པའི་འགོད་ཚུལ།
   Illustration: The subjects - pot / pillar / functioning thing - it follows that they are products because of being impermanent.
   བུམ་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཀ་བ་ཆོས་ཅན། དངོས་པོ་ཆོས་ཅན། བྱས་པ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། མི་རྟག་པ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
   
   
3. Aggregating predicates གསལ་སྤུངས་ཀྱི་འགོད་ཚུལ།
   Illustration: The subject - object of knowledge - it follows that it is a non-product, it follows that it is permanent, it follows that it is a non-functioning thing, because of being empty of the ability to perform a function.
   ཤེས་བྱ་ཆོས་ཅན། མ་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། རྟག་པ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། དངོས་མེད་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། དོན་བྱེད་ནུས་མེད་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
   
   
4. Aggregating signs རྟགས་སྤུངས་ཀྱི་འགོད་ཚུལ།
   Illustration: The subject - omniscience - it follows that it is a functioning thing because it is a compounded phenomenon, because it is able to perform a function, because it is momentary.
   རྣམ་མཁྱེན་ཆོས་ཅན། དངོས་པོ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། འདུས་བྱས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར། དོན་བྱེད་ནུས་པ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར། སྐད་ཅིག་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
   
   
5. Nested སྦུབས་འཚང་གི་འགོད་ཚུལ།
   1. Nested subjects ཆོས་ཅན་སྦུབས་འཚང་གི་ཐལ་འགྱུར།
      Illustration: The subject - pot - it follows that there is pervasion in the consequence "The subject - form - it follows that the reason is established in the consequence "The subject - object of knowledge - it follows that it is existent because of being existent." because of being observed by valid cognition." because of being observed by valid cognition.
      བུམ་པ་ཆོས་ཅན། གཟུགས་ཆོས་ཅན། ཤེས་བྱ་ཆོས་ཅན། ཡོད་པ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། ཡོད་པ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེས་པའི་ཐལ་འགྱུར་གྱི་རྟགས་གྲུབ་པར་ཐལ། ཚད་མས་དམིགས་པ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེས་པའི་ཐལ་འགྱུར་ལ་ཁྱབ་པར་ཡོད་པར་ཐལ། ཚད་མས་དམིགས་པ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར།
   2. Nested predicates གསལ་བ་སྦུབས་འཚང་གི་ཐལ་འགྱུར།
      Illustration: The subject - pillar - it follows that it is impermanent because there is pervasion in the consequence "It follows it is momentary because the sign is established in the consequence "It follows that it is a functioning thing because of being a compounded phenomenon.""
      ཀ་བ་ཆོས་ཅན། མི་རྟག་པ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། སྐད་ཅིག་མ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། དངོས་པོ་ཡིན་པར་ཐལ། འདུས་བྱས་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེས་པའི་ཐལ་འགྱུར་གྱི་རྟགས་གྲུབ་པའི་ཕྱིར། ཞེས་པའི་ཐལ་འགྱུར་ལ་ཁྱབ་པ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར།
