Divisions of siddhis

དངོས་གྲུབ་ལ་རབ་འབྲིང་ཐ་གསུམ་ཡོད།
Siddhis are divided into great, middling and small:

In terms of their nature: ངོ་བོའི་སྒོ་ནས།

• Great: knowledge bearer (རིག་འཛིན།), clairvoyance (མངོན་ཤེས།), knowing all treatises (བསྟན་བཅོས་ཀུན་ཤེས་པ།)
• Middling: invisibility (མི་སྣང་བ།), extracting the essence (བཅུད་ལེན།), speed walking (རྐྱང་མགྱོགས།)
• Small: subduing others (གཞན་དབང་དུ་འདུ་བ།), killing and expulsion (གསད་སྐྲད།)

In terms of signs: རྟགས་ཀྱི་སྒོ་ནས།

• Igniting substances (རྫས་འབར་བ།)
• Emitting smoke (དུ་བ་འཐུལ་བ།)
• Heating (དྲོ་བ།)

In terms of the basis: གཞིའི་སྒོ་ནས།

• Siddhis of the body (ལུས་ཀྱི་དངོས་གྲུབ།)
• Siddhis of substance (རྫས་ཀྱི་དངོས་གྲུབ།)
• Siddhis of resources (ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ཀྱི་དངོས་གྲུབ།)

In terms of the bestower: གསུངས་པ་པོའི་སྒོ་ནས།

• Mantra of aryas འཕགས་པའི་སྔགས།
• Mantra of devas ལྷའི་སྔགས།
• Mantra of earthly gods ས་བླའི་སྔགས།

In terms of lineage: རིགས་ཀྱི་སྒོ་ནས།

• Tathagata lineage (དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་རིགས།) - pacification actions (ཞི་བའི་ལས།)
• Lotus lineage (པདྨའི་རིགས།) - increase actions (རྒྱས་པའི་ལས།)
• Vajra lineage (རྡོ་རྗེའི་རིགས།) - wrathful actions (དྲག་པོའི་ལས།)

However, each of these three contain all three types with respect to the lord of the lineage (རིགས་ཀྱི་བདག་པོ།), the consort of the lineage (རིགས་ཀྱི་ཡུམ།), and the wrathful deities (རིགས་ཀྱི་དྲོ་བོ།) of the lineage.
