From Fundamental Wisdom: རྩ་བ་ཤེས་རབ་ལས།
གང་དག་བདེན་པ་དེ་གཉིས་ཀྱི། རྣམ་དབྱེ་རྣམ་པར་མི་ཤེས་པ། དེ་དག་སངས་རྒྱས་བསྟན་པ་ནི། ཟབ་མོའི་དེ་ཉིད་རྣམས་མི་མཐོང་།
Those who do not know
The classification of those two truths
Will not see the profound suchness
Of the Buddha’s teachings.
འདུས་བྱས་ཐམས་ཅད་སླུ་བའི་ཆོས། དེས་ན་དེ་དག་བརྫུན་པ་ཡིན།
All compounded are deceptive phenomena;
Therefore, they are falsities.
རྫོགས་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་མ་བྱུང་ཞིང་། ཉན་ཐོས་རྣམས་ནི་ཟད་གྱུར་ཀྱང་། རང་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ནི། སྟོན་པ་མེད་ལས་རབ་ཏུ་སྐྱེ།
Though the complete Buddhas have not arisen
And the Hearers have been exhausted,
The exalted wisdom of the Solitary Realisers
Arises without a teacher.
རྟེན་ཅིང་འབྲེལ་བར་འབྱུང་བ་གང༌། །དེ་ནི་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་དུ་བཤད། །དེ་ནི་བརྟེན་ནས་གདགས་པ་སྟེ། །དེ་ཉིད་དབུ་མའི་ལམ་ཡིན་ནོ། །
That which is dependently arisen, that is explained as emptiness.
That is dependently designated. Just this is the Middle Way. [24.18]
From Precious Garland of the Middle Way: དབུ་མ་རིན་ཆེན་ཕྲེང་བ་ལས།
ཇི་སྲིད་ཕུང་པོར་འཛིན་ཡོད་པར། དེ་སྲིད་དེ་ལ་ངར་འཛིན་ཡོད། ངར་འཛིན་ཡོད་ན་ཡང་ལས་ཏེ། དེ་ལས་ཡང་ནི་སྐྱེ་བ་ཡིན།
As long as there is grasping to the aggregates
There is grasping at the “I”.
If there is grasping at the “I”, actions,
And from that rebirth.
སྐྱེས་བུ་ས་མིན་ཆུ་མ་ཡིན། མེ་མིན་རླུང་མིན་ནམ་མཁའ་མིན། རྣམ་ཤེས་མ་ཡིན་ཀུན་མིན་ན། དེ་ལས་གཞན་ན་སྐྱེས་བུ་གང་།
སྐྱེས་བུ་ཁམས་དྲུག་འདུས་པའི་ཕྱིར། ཡང་དག་མ་ཡིན་ཇི་ལྟ་བར། དེ་བཞིན་ཁམས་ནི་རེ་རེ་ཡང་། འདུས་ཕྱིར་ཡང་དག་ཉིད་དུ་མིན།
If the being is not earth, nor water,
Not fire, not wind, nor space,
Not consciousness, and not all [of the above],
What being is there separate from those?
In the same way that beings are not real
Due to being composed from the six constituents,
Similarly, the individual constituents are not real
Due to being composites.
ཁ་ཟས་སྨན་དང་འདྲ་བར་རིག་པ་ཡི། འདོད་ཆགས་ཞེ་སྡང་མེད་པར་བརྟེན་བགྱི་སྟེ།
རྒྱགས་ཕྱིར་མ་ལགས་ལུས་སྙེམས་པའི་ཕྱིར་མ་ལགས། མཚག་ཕྱིར་མ་ལགས་ལུས་གནས་འབབ་ཞིག་ཕྱིར།
Thinking that food is like medicine,
Use it for sustenance without attachment or aversion;
Not out of pride, not in order to fatten the body, and
Not out of gluttony; only to sustain the body.
འཁོར་ལོས་སྒྱུར་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ། །འདི་དག་ཡོད་པར་འདོད་མོད་ཀྱི། །དག་དང་མཛེས་དང་གསལ་བ་ནི། །སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཆར་མི་ཕོད།
Although it is asserted that these are possessed
By all Wheel-Turning Kings,
Their purity, beauty, and clarity,
Does not compare to even a part of the Buddhas'.
From Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning: རིགས་པ་དྲུག་ཅུ་པ་ལས།
གནས་དང་བཅས་པའི་སེམས་ལྡན་ལ། ཉོན་མོངས་དུག་ཆེན་ཅིས་མི་འགྱུར།
For one possessing a mind together with the source
Why would the great poison of the afflictions not arise?
གལ་ཏེ་ཡོད་པར་སྨྲ་བ་རྣམས། དངོས་མཆོག་ཞེན་ནས་གནས་པ་ནི། ལམ་དེ་ཉིད་ལ་གནས་པ་སྟེ། དེ་ལ་ངོ་མཚར་ཅུང་ཟད་མེད།
སངས་རྒྱས་ལམ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་ནི། ཐམས་ཅད་མི་རྟག་སྨྲ་བ་རྣམས། རྩོད་པ་ཡིས་ནི་དངོས་པོ་ལ། ཆགས་གནས་གང་ཡིན་དེ་རྨད་དོ།
If the proponents of Existence, Who abide in conceiving of things as supreme,
Abide in such a path There is nothing even slightly astonishing in this.
Those propounding all as impermanent In dependence upon the Buddhist path
Remaining attached to things through debate is astonishing!
From Tree-trunk of Wisdom: ཤེས་རབ་སྡོང་བུ་ལས།
དམ་པ་མང་པོ་ཁས་འཆེ་མི་བྱེད་ལ། གལ་ཏེ་དཀའ་བས་ཁས་ན་བླངས་གྱུར་ན། རྡོ་ལ་རི་མོ་བྲིས་པ་ལྟ་བུར་ནི། ཤི་ཡང་གཞན་དུ་བྱེད་པར་མི་འགྱུར་རོ།
The Wise do not make many promises
And if through tough [deliberation] they do make one
It is like a drawing in stone –
They will not do otherwise even if they die.
From Commentary on the Mind of Enlightenment: བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་འགྲེལ་ལས།
བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་ནི་མ་བསྐྱེད་པར། སངས་རྒྱས་ནམ་ཡང་མི་ཐོབ་ཅིང་། འཁོར་བར་གཞན་དོན་སྒྲུབ་པ་ཡི། ཐབས་གཞན་ཡོད་པ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།
Without generating the mind of enlightenment
One will never attain Buddhahood;
And there is no other method
To accomplish others’ welfare while in samsara.
ཀུན་རྫོབ་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་དུ་བཤད། སྟོང་པ་ཁོ་ན་ཀུན་རྫོབ་ཡིན། མེད་ན་མི་འབྱུང་ངེས་པའི་ཕྱིར། བྱས་དང་མི་རྟག་ཇི་བཞིན་ནོ།
The conventional is explained to be empty,
Emptiness itself is the conventional,
Since without [one, the other] definitely does not arise;
Just as with product and impermanent.
From Letter to a Friend: བཤེས་པའི་སྤྲིང་ཡིག་ལས། བཤེས་སྤྲིང་ལས།
ཁྲིམས་ནི་རྒྱུ་དང་མི་རྒྱུའི་ས་བཞིན་དུ། ཡོན་ཏན་ཀུན་གྱི་གཞི་རྟེན་ལགས་པར་གསུངས།
Ethics, just like the earth for the animate and inanimate,
Is said to be the supporting basis of all qualities.
ཇི་ལྟར་བདེ་གཤེགས་སྐུ་གཟུགས་ཤིང་ལ་སོགས། བགྱིས་པ་ཇི་འདྲ་ཡང་རུང་མཁས་པས་མཆོད།
Just as the masters make offerings to an image of the Sugata,
Regardless of what they are made of, wood and so forth…
མ་ཡིན་ཐུག་མཐའ་རྒྱ་ཤུག་ཚི་གུ་ཙམ། རིལ་བུར་དྲིལ་ཀྱང་ས་ཡིས་ལངས་མི་འགྱུར།
There is not enough earth that could be made into pellets
The size of juniper berried to count our past mothers.
རྟེན་ཅིང་འབྲེལ་བར་འབྱུང་འདི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི། གསུང་གི་མཛོད་ཀྱི་གཅེས་པ་ཟབ་མོ་སྟེ། གང་ཞིག་དེ་ནི་ཡང་དག་མཐོང་བ་དེ། ཆོས་མཐོང་བ་དེ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་མཐོང་།
Those who correctly see
Dependent-arising
As the profound precious treasure of the Buddha's speech:
Seeing the dharma, they see the Tathagata.
From Essence of Dependent-Arising: རྟེན་འབྲེལ་གྱི་སྙིང་པོ་ཚིག་ལེའུར་བྱས་པ་ལས།
དང་པོ་བརྒྱད་དང་དགུ་ཉོན་མོངས། གཉིས་དང་བཅུ་པ་ལས་ཡིན་ཏེ། ལྷག་མ་བདུན་ཡང་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཡིན།
The first, eighth, and ninth are afflictions;
The second and tenth are actions;
The remaining seven are sufferings.
