Ornament for Mahayana Sutras

དེ་ཉིད་ཡང་དང་ཡང་དུ་ནི། མྱ་ངན་འདས་ལ་མངོན་དགའི་ཕྱིར།
རང་སེམས་ཀུན་ཏུ་འཇུག་ལྡན་པས། རྟོགས་པ་བུལ་བ་ཡིན་པར་འདོད།
Due to completely absorbing their mind
In nirvana, again and again,
On account of [its] manifest joy,
They are asserted as being slower in realisation.

སྦྱོར་བའི་སྔོན་དུ་སྙིང་རྗེ་དང། །མོས་པ་དང་ནི་བཟོད་པ་དང།
དགེ་ལ་ཡང་དག་སྤྱོད་པ་ནི། །རིགས་ཀྱི་རྟགས་སུ་ཤེས་པར་བྱ།
Compassion prior to application,
Belief and forbearance, and
Thorough engagement in virtue
Should be known as the signs of lineage.

ཉོན་མོངས་གོམས་དང་གྲོགས་ངན་དང་། འཕོངས་དང་གཞན་གྱི་དབང་ཉིད་དང་།
མདོར་ན་རིགས་ཀྱི་ཉེས་དམིགས་ནི། རྣམ་པ་བཞི་རུ་ཤེས་པར་བྱ།
Familiarity with the afflictions, bad friends,
Poverty, and being controlled by others;
In short, the faults of lineage
Should be known as of four types.

དེ་ཡི་རྩ་བ་སྙིང་རྗེར་འདོད།
The root of that is asserted to be compassion.

རྒྱལ་སྲས་རྣམས་ཀྱི་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་ནི། སྤྲིན་དང་འདྲ་བ་ཉིད་དུ་བསྟན།
The mind generation of the conqueror’s children
Is taught to be just like a cloud.

དགེ་བའི་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་ནང་ན་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་མཆོག
Among the collection of virtues, joyous effort is supreme.
