Taking the vow (verses)

དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་ལ་བདག་སྐྱབས་མཆི། སྡིག་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་སོ་སོར་བཤགས།
འགྲོ་བའི་དགེ་ལ་རྗེས་ཡི་རང་། སངས་རྒྱས་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཡིད་ཀྱིས་གཟུང་།
I go for refuge to the three precious jewels,
I confess all negativities individually,
I rejoice in the virtue of migrators, and
Take to mind the Buddha’s enlightenment.

།ཇི་ལྟར་སྔོན་གྱི་བདེ་གཤེགས་ཀྱིས། །བྱང་ཆུབ་ཐུགས་ནི་བསྐྱེད་པ་དང་།
།བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་བསླབ་པ་ལ། །དེ་དག་རིམ་བཞིན་གནས་པ་ལྟར།
།དེ་བཞིན་འགྲོ་ལ་ཕན་དོན་དུ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་ནི་བསྐྱེད་བགྱི་ཞིང་།
།དེ་བཞིན་དུ་ནི་བསླབ་པ་ལའང་། །རིམ་པ་བཞིན་དུ་བསླབ་པར་བགྱི།
Just as the previous Sugatas
Generated the mind of enlightenment,
And gradually abided
In the Bodhisattva practices; [23]
Likewise, for the welfare of all migrators
I generate the mind of enlightenment,
And likewise will
Gradually train in the practices. [24]

།སངས་རྒྱས་ཆོས་དང་ཚོགས་མཆོག་ལ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་བར་དུ་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི།
།བདག་དང་གཞན་དོན་བསྒྲུབ་སླད་དུ། །བདག་གིས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དོ།
།ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་དག་ན་བཞུགས་པ་ཡི། །སངས་རྒྱས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་གསོན།
།བདག་གིས་རྫོགས་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཕྱིར། །དེང་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དོ།
I go for refuge, until I am enlightened,
To the Buddha, Dharma, and Supreme Sangha.
In order to accomplish the welfare of myself and others,
I generate the mind of enlightenment.
All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions
Please listen to me:
In order to attain complete enlightenment,
From today, I generate the mind of enlightenment.
