Connected with an agent

བྱེད་པ་པོ་གཞན་དང་དངོས་སུ་འབྲེལ་བའི་བྱ་བ་སྟོན་བྱེད་ཀྱི་སྒྲ། བྱེད་འབྲལ་ལས་ཚིག་གི་མཚན་ཉིད།
Definition: A sound indicating an activity directly connected to a separate agent.

Mutually inclusive with verbs where agent and object are different
Direct opposite of verbs unconnected with an agent / where agent and object are not different

Rule of thumb:

By who/what? (སུ་ཡིས།) What? (ག་རེ།) (need two distinctive answers)

• I eat momos ངས་མོག་མོག་ཟ་གི་ཡོད།
  • Who eats momos? I eat momos སུ་ཡིས་ཟ་གི་ཡོད།  ངས་ཟ་གི་ཡོད།
  • What is eaten? Momos are eaten ག་རེ་ཟ་གི་ཡོད།  མོག་མོག་ཟ་གི་ཡོད།

As opposed to:

• Tashi goes to school བཀྲ་ཤིས་སློབ་གྲྭ་ལ་འགྲོ།
  • Who goes to school? Tashi སུ་ཡིས་སློབ་གྲྭ་ལ་འགྲོ། བཀྲ་ཤིས།
  • What goes to school? Tashi ག་རེ་སློབ་གྲྭ་ལ་འགྲོ། བཀྲ་ཤིས། Therefore: བྱེད་མེད་ལས་ཚིག
• Rain fell ཆར་པ་འབབ་སོང་།
  • Who made it fall? X སུ་ཡིས་འབབ་སོང་། ??
  • What fell? Rain fell ག་རེ་འབབ་སོང་། ཆར་པ་འབབ་སོང་། Therefore: བྱེད་མེད་ལས་ཚིག
