Two types of place of activity
The term "place of activity" (བྱེད་ས།) can be ambiguous for verbs that also have indirect objects.
For example, the verb བཤད་པ། (to speak/explain/discuss):
- What is said will be the བཤད་བྱ། and is marked in the First Case.
- But the བཤད་ས། can refer to:
- The place where a discussion is had (marked in the Seventh Case), or
- The people who are being spoken to (marked in the Second Case)
However, this ambiguity is usually solved contextually.
